Why We Started Mi Wai Healthy?

Jaida is my husband and I first child. Like most new parents we were shocked, happy, nervous, excited and every other feeling you can imagine. Finding out we were going to be parents.

Jaida was born healthy, we had no complications during or after pregnancy. We took her to her normal well-visit check ups to the pediatrician. But once she turned 3 months things changed. Jaida started having what her doctor at the time called "breathing episodes", where she would stop breathing in her sleep. They diagnose her with sleep apnea, which later she had to have surgery at 2 years old, because she loss consciousness, hate to say it, she died in my hands for a few mins. She stopped breathing, I revived her, her body went limp and her lips started turning blue and her mouth had shut close. The most terrifying thing that has ever happen to me. And That's an understatement.

After going thru that which that happen at 5 months, she kept having these "breathing episodes". They were getting worst, after her third doctor heard about what was going on. And she only knew about it because I told her. They had this nowhere noted in Jaida's file. About her having "breathing episodes". The doctor recommended we see ENT specialist. Because "it sounded like Jaida had sleep apnea".

We took Jaida to see the surgeon, at 2 years old she had surgery. Which he stated " Jaida will be better than new". Lies!, the post surgery was worst than the surgery itself. After a month recovery which we were told two weeks. Lies! we went to see the surgery. So he can check Jaida's progress. And after my husband and I answer all these questions. He replied "wow I didn't expect her to be 75% better. But what you guys are telling me shes doing way better than I expected".

My husband and I left his office. Pissed because you sold us on our daughter getting better. And you didn't believe what you were telling us. And her progress only sounded better. Because the questions you was asking us Jaida didn't have some those problems before the surgery. 

It was at that moment where my trust in modern day practice was beginning to questioned. I started looking into holistic medicine. I begin to research not only medicines but vaccines. Never gave vaccines a look or questioned it. Until one of the vaccines I stumbled upon was link to sleep apnea. I was floored, I was out of breathe, I got angry. I couldn't believe it. Then I starting crying. And I couldn't stop because my baby girl have 3 doses of this vaccines, before she was 1 yrs old. My tears turned to anger and I lost all trust in modern day medicine and doctors. I feel like they played with my child's life, they caused that damage to my child. 

Then I stopped playing the victim and decided to do something about, I know my child, I know my body. And I've been with my husband long enough I know his too. So my job became to search for ways and things to keep my family healthy and safe. l was on a mission. During this journey I came across sea moss. Which has amazing benefits and we went with it. I started looking up better food choices, herbs, water you name it. I was trying to find it,  after years at this new healthy living and I was taking what doctors and medicine for the gospel anymore. After my family and I realized that we emptied out the medicine cabinet.  And was on straight herbs. And was sick way less.

Fast forward the pandemic hit. And we all was panic. I was already giving my family members  sea moss and selling it to my husband coworkers. So my husband suggested to start a business. 

I thought about it for awhile. And decided this is a great time to help my people. Nobody had any answers on this new virus. So lets go for it. And the satisfaction, I was getting to see sea moss helping all these people. God's people I had to go all in. 

So Mi Wai Healty isn't just about sea moss! Its a company that's here to give you choices. Choices I didn't know I had being that new mom. Choices I didn't know I had as an adult. Because when I got sick. I went straight to the over the counter medicines. WE HAVE CHOICES. God has placed on this earth so many herbs and natural remedies. That wont cause harm later. Or damage our bodies beyond repair.

We believe everyone on this health journey is different. We have been led to believe getting healthy is a one size fit all. It's not! Everyone lifestyle is different, body type is different, different things has been passed down hereditary. So how can those health plan work for everyone? It can't! I found out I had to do things MY WAY! 

That were MI Wai Healthy name came from. We have to do things our way.  Since I'm doing things MY WAY. My husband decided to change the spelling to (Mi Wai Healthy) its pronounced MY WAY HEALTHY. 

This is a place where you have chooses. We recognize your lifestyle may not give you the pleasure of exercising everyday for an hour at the gym. Or cutting meat completely out your diet. But it may let you workout for 30 mins in your living room. And slow down on meat where you may not eat it three times a day. But two times a day. It's the baby steps which will help you get to your goal.
